I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
